The Kumamoto Volunteer Challenge is something the 2015/2016 KumAJET Team is implementing as of September of 2015. In addition to participating in group volunteering events planned by KumAJET, we want to encourage individual JETs to do as much volunteering as they can on their own time.

A list of places JETs can volunteer around the prefecture will be made available on the Places to Volunteer page of our website with a brief description of required skills and contact information.Throughout the year, we will ask all JETs to log the amount of hours they have volunteered. We will keep a running metre of the top volunteers here on our website, as well as a count of total hours we are collectively volunteering as the Kumamoto JET community.  At the end of the JET year, our top two volunteers will become the recipients of our first KumAJET Volunteer Awards to recognize all of their great work!
